The committees have decided to awardthe Liu-Hui Prize for 2025 to Wladimir-Georges Boskoff of Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania.
Wladimir-Georges Boskoff is Professor of Mathematics of Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania. In 1994, Dr. Boskoff completed his doctorate on study of Manifolds with Barbilian Metric Structure at University of Bucharest, Romania.
He developed and presented various timeless universes, some of them wormholes, some of them in expansion, and some without matter, providing new geometric perspectives on the structure of such universes.
Dr. Boskoff was the Vice President of Romanian Mathematical Society from 2008 to 2017. He was the First Vice President of Romanian Mathematical Society from 2017 to 2022. Professor Boskoff is also the recipient of the Gheorghe Țițeica Award of the Romanian Academy in 1996 and SSMR Medal of the Romanian Mathematical Society in 2010.
Beyond his scientific achievements, Professor Boskoff is known for his exceptional talent as a science communicator and essayist, bridging mathematics, physics, and philosophy through his acclaimed STEM series in Tomis magazine.
