The committees have decided to award the Qin-Jiu-Shao Lecture for 2025 to Sohail Nadeem of Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan, and Stefano Galatolo of University of Pisa, Italy.

Sohail Nadeem awarded the 2025 Qin-Jiu-Shao Lecture for his «seminal contributions to the theoretical and computational fluid mechanics. ».

Sohail Nadeem is a Professor of Mathematics of Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan. In 2004, Dr. Nadeem completed his doctorate on study of OscillatoryFlows of Magnetohydrodynamic Non-Newtonian Fluids at Quaid-i-AzamUniversity, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Professor Nadeem is the recipient of Razi-ud-Din Gold medal by Pakistan Academy of Sciences for the year 2008. In 2012, he is the recipient of Salam prize for Mathematics by the Third World Academy of Sciences ICTP, Italy. In 2016, he was awarded the PAS gold medal in Mathematics by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences. After one year, he received the Third Top Mathematician of Pakistan, according to PCST award list. In 2019, he was selected the Fellow of Pakistan Academy Sciences. In 2022, he received the Distinguished Obada Prize. In 2023, Dr. Nadeem received Sitara-i-Imtiazby President of Pakistan. In the same year, he was selected the Fellow of The world Academy of Sciences. In 2024, he was selected as the Fellow of Asia-Pasific Artifitial Intelligence Association.

About Stefano Galatolo

Stefano Galatolo awarded the 2025 Qin-Jiu-Shao Lecture for his «seminal contributions to the computational methods for statistical properties and applications.».

In 2002, Dr. Galatolo completed his doctorate on study of Information, Complexityand weak Chaos in Dynamical Systems at University of Pisa, Italy.

Stefano Galatolo is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Pisa (Italy) and has been a visiting researcher at several institutions, including the École Normale Supérieure (Paris), Université de Bretagne Occidentale, IMPA (Rio de Janeiro), the Isaac Newton Institute (Cambridge), Brown University, the University of North Texas, and Université Lumière Lyon 2.

He was Director of Interdepartmental Center for the Study of Complex Systems, University of Pisa,Italy, from 2016-2021. Since 2014, he was selected as Section Editor for the Journal of Fixed Point Theory and Applications, Springer-BirkhäuserBasel. Since 2019, he is appointed as Focus issues editor for Chaos Solitonsand Fractals, Elsevier. Since 2024, he is Director of Interdepartmental Centerfor the Study of Complex Systems, University of Pisa, Italy.
